Teresa A. Andersen, M.D. received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA in 1990. She attended the University of Washington where she received her medical degree in 1994. Dr. Andersen completed Family Medicine Residency training at the Naval Hospital in Bremerton, WA in 1997 and then spent four more years on active duty, including two years in Guam. She then worked in Poulsbo at North Kitsap Family Practice and Urgent Care until 2009 when she left to start Sound Family Health. Dr. Andersen is a Board-Certified member of the American Board of Family Medicine and is chair of the Continuing Medical Education committee at Harrison. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children and volunteers whenever possible in the community and schools.
Charles W. Power, M.D. received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Baylor University prior to completing medical school at the University of Arkansas in 1982. After an internship at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Dr. Power completed his family practice residency at North Colorado Medical Center in 1985. Dr. Power then practiced in the Spokane area for twelve years prior to moving to Poulsbo in 1998. He practiced family medicine at North Kitsap Medical Center for eleven years, and then launched Sound Family Health on Bainbridge Island in 2009. Dr. Power is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Family Practice. Dr. Power enjoys cycling (both bicycles and motorcycles), backpacking, piano playing, and singing. Dr. Power is is a member of the Bainbridge Chorale.
Mark C. Hoffman, M.D. received his B.A. in Biology from Pacific Lutheran University. He worked in HIV vaccine research at the University of Washington before attending medical school there, receiving his M.D. degree in 1997. After a
three year family medicine residency at the University of Rochester he moved
back to the Northwest and joined North Kitsap Family Practice in 2000 where he was a family practitioner for nine years prior to launching Sound Family Health in 2009. Dr. Hoffman is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He lives with his family in Poulsbo and enjoys snow and water skiing.
Brad L. Andersen, M.D. received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature with minor in Biology and Chemistry from Carroll College in Helena, MT in 1989. He attended medical school, surgical internship and family medicine residency at the University of Washington, completing his training in 1997. He spent two years practicing in Guam where he was the Medical Director of Continental Micronesia Family Medical Center. In 1999, he returned to the Northwest where he worked as a physician with Peninsula Community Health until 2005 when he joined North Kitsap Family Practice and Urgent Care. In 2009, he left to launch Sound Family Health. He was the Chief of Family Medicine at Harrison Medical Center for 10 years and continues on the Physicians Advisory Committee. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He enjoys all outdoor activities and spending time with his family. He is an active volunteer in the community and schools.
