Medical Billing Specialist
Billing Specialist needed for very busy family practice office in Poulsbo! The ideal applicant has a positive attitude, a welcoming smile, the ability to multi-task, detail oriented, and exceptional work ethic!
Job duties include:
Process refunds to patient and insurance carriers
Correct claim issues and resubmission of claims as appropriate
Assist in claim submission and accuracy of data
Work past due accounts and process in accordance to policy and procedures
Contact insurance carriers as needed to resolve claim issues
Communicate with patients via multiple different platforms such as phone/secure text and patient portal
Other duties as assigned
Working with your colleagues as a team player!
Job experience include:
High School degree or equivalent
Medical coding and billing: 1 year required
Experience with EHR(athena): Preferred
Knowledge with Microsoft Office, Excel and Teams

A Certified Nursing Assistant’s Job Responsibilities:
Checking patients in and gathering vital signs.
Collecting samples for CLIA wave tests.
Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; and reporting observations to the LPN or Physician.
Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and record via EMR.
Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.
Protects organization’s value by keeping patient information confidential.
Serves and protects the clinic by adhering to professional standards, office policies and procedures; federal, state, and local requirements; and jcaho standards.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations, and maintaining licensure.
Enhances Clinic reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
CNA Skills and Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Knowledge of relevant nursing care
Friendly and professional bedside manner
Maintains current CPR certification
Multi-tasking skills
Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills
Understands legal implications of patient care
Education & Experience:
Certification with accredited training course through the State of Washington
Current BLS Certification
2 years of nursing assistant experience
Appropriate license

Sound Family Health has been operating since 2009. We are an enthusiastic family practice clinic looking to add to the family with the addition of a full time position for a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant!
Duties and Responsibilities:
A Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Doctors in providing care to their patients. Their duties include recording and updating medical histories and contact information in patient files, scheduling patient appointments and performing standard care procedures like checking vitals or collecting lab samples.
Medical Assistants rely on technical skills so they understand how to use equipment to take patient vital signs. They should also be detail-oriented, as they must enter all patient data accurately in their records so doctors and insurance companies can refer to them. Medical Assistants should also have interpersonal skills so they can work with patients who may be in pain.
Medical Assistants may perform the following duties:
Schedule appointments
Administering immunizations/medications
Perform data entry/updating patient medical records
Measure and record vital signs
Clean exam rooms
Answer phone calls/triage phone calls
Assisting physicians with minor procedures
Properly performing EKG’s spirometry, nebulizers, and sterilization of medical instruments
Processing medication refill requests, insurance referrals and prior authorizations
Education & Experience:
Must have a current Medical Assistant License from the State of Washington and be certified or registered.
Prefer at least 1+ years experience, but not required.
Athena EMR experience a bonus.
