Dr. Andersen has been an active leader in the local medical community, serving for 10 years as Chief of the Department of Family Medicine at Harrison Medical Center (now St. Michael Medical Center). He has also contributed his expertise through the Physician Advisory Committee and several other community health initiatives.

He is board certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Teresa Andersen, M.D.
Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Teresa Andersen moved west with her family and eventually graduated from Gonzaga University. She went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Washington and later served eight years in the U.S. Navy. After her service, she chose to settle in Kitsap County, where she and Dr. Brad Andersen raised their two children, Katherine and Dave.
In an era increasingly dominated by large healthcare systems, Dr. Teresa remains committed to the values of private practice. She believes that a more personal, patient-centered approach leads to better outcomes and more meaningful care.
Outside of work, she enjoys staying active and spending time with her two beloved dogs, Koko and Zeus.
“My practice philosophy is one of collaboration. I believe a person’s health is primarily their responsibility. I see my role as being a patient advocate and helping determine best treatment options for the variety of diseases that occur. I think collaborating with the patient is the best way to get the best healthcare and still observe the best science.”
