Tricare 2023 update

  • 1/30/2024

We are pleased to share our Providers' Tricare HealthNet accounts have been corrected. Unfortunately, if you were reassigned to another provider or practice you will need to contact Tricare and request reassignment back to our practice. Should you have trouble with that, please let Tricare HealthNet know you are a current established patient with our practice. We appreciate your patience during this time.

  • 1/19/2024 Update

We have been told our Providers data should be finalized in 14 days, we do see things currently moving in the right direction and do not anticipate any unforeseen roadblocks.

  • 1/3/2024 Update

The issue is still not resolved. Our providers where wrongfully attributed to a different organization, and we are waiting for this error to be resolved. We will hopefully know more information at the start of next week. Thank you for hanging in there with us.

  • 12/18/2023 Update

The issue is still not resolved. We are actively working with Tricare Provider representatives and others involved. We had hoped for a resolution before the Holiday, however, anticipate this will go into the New Year. Again, we share the frustrations with you and will update you all as soon as possible.

  • 12/6/2023 Update

Tricare has identified the issue, and they are currently working to correct it. We do not have a timeframe, however, anticipate it should be resolved fairly easily. Once we have confirmation, we will notify you via our Text messaging platform. Thank you for your patience.

  • Dates of Service 11/29/2023-TBD

If you have a visit with Sound Family Health between the dates of 11/29/2023 and the resolution of this issue (TBD), your visit will be processed as “out of network” and therefore you would be responsible financially to cover these services.

November 29,2023

Dear Valued Tricare HealthNet Patients,

It has come to our attention that there is an issue with our current Tricare HealthNet contract. Unfortunately, we were not notified directly by Tricare HealthNet themselves, but from a valued patient.

You may have received notice that your PCM (Primary Care Manager) will change as of 1/1/2024. We are hoping that this issue can be resolved prior to the end of year, to prevent any unnecessary changes.

We are actively working with Tricare Healthnet to determine what the originating issue was. We have been informed that Tricare HealthNet has had to escalate the issue within their own department for lack of information on their end.

As of today, we were made aware that if you have a visit with Sound Family Health between the dates of 11/29/2023 and the resolution of this issue (TBD), your visit will be processed as “out of network” and therefore you would be responsible financially to cover these services.

We understand that this can cause unneeded frustration and we share that frustration with you.

Sincerely,

Brad Andersen, MD
